Policy on mobility
To ensure the high quality of its mobility activities our school has established an International Office with a Coordinator and the part-time assistance of secretarial and administrative staff. This office offers a quick access to information, counselling and support for its incoming and outgoing staff and students. In areas where the school has logistic limitation (no accomodation office, no intensive language courses) it has established a collaboration with the ESU and the University of Verona.
The school deplores discrimination of all kind (sex, race, religion) and it commits itself to breaking down the barriers for the disabled people. Through its activities (didactic, artistic, cultural) it aims to create a spirit of cohesion and high purpose among art training, culture and research. International relations play a very important role in that plan.
The Academy commits itself to improve the use of the ECTS tools (credits, ECTS grades, etc.) and systems of accreditation. In particular, to improve the standard of mobility, by:
- developing an international spirit within the schools and encouraging the teaching staff and students to play an active role in internationalization;
- monitoring the prospective outgoing students (for artistic skills, language skills and motivation);
- improving the school services to match international standards.
Academic activities are mostly in Italian language. Course units in foreign languages are also available thanks to the cooperation with CLA, a language centre at the University, witch provides facilities for foreign language teaching and learning and organizes free Italian courses for Erasmus students. The Academy provides finances monitoring to SM/TS mobility activities.
